  5. O.S shares central processing unit (CPU) time by various application or peripheral devices.
  6. O.S provides fills management which is the process of creating, saving, deleting the files in a computer.
  7. O.S keeps the peripheral devices (keyboard, Mouse etc) in contact with the computer.
What is open source software?

The software whose source code is available to its users is known as open source software.
Source code is the part of software that most computer users don’t ever see. Such a code is worked by the computer programmers who can manipulate it to change it for how a piece of software program or application works.
The users can study, edit, modify the source code and improve the efficiency of software.
