KPK 9th Class Biology Chapter 4 Cell &Tissues Short Questions Answers
What proposed the cell theory and what are the main points of the cell theory?
Cell theory was proposed by schlidon and schcwan.
Lain points of cell theory:
All organism (plants and animals) are made up of one or more cells.
Cell is the structural and functional unit of all living organisms.
New cells arise from pre-existing cells by cell division.
Differentiat between simple and compourd tissue.
Simple tissue are those tissue which composed of one type of cells i.g epidermal tissue, ground tisse upporting tissues etc. while composed of more than one thypef cells e.g xylum tissue, phloem tissues etc.
How cell membrane helps in maintain equilibrium while exchanging materials with environment?
Each cell is surrounded by cel membrane, which selectivelt permeable membrane. So the cell takes ecessary substances from the surrounding environment and remove unwanted substansces.
Differentiat between endocytosis and exocytose?
Endocytosis: “Endocytosis is a general term for a group of processes that bring large particles, small molecules and even small cells into the eukaryotic cell.”
During this process, the plasma membrane folds inward around materials and form a small pocket. This pocket deepens an d forms a vesicle. The vesicle separates from the plasma membrane and migrates with its materials into the cell. There are two forms of
endocytosis.
Phagocytosis ( cellular eating) in which cell takes in solid material.
Pinocytosis (cellular drinking) in which cell takes in liquid.
Exocytosis: “Exocytosis is a process by which materials packaged in vesicles are secreted From a cell when the vesicle membrane fuses with the plasmamembrane.”
By this process, the contents of the vesicle are released to the outside environment and vesicle membrane is incorporated into the plasma membrane.
How does turgor pressure develops in a plant all?
When a cell is surrounded by water, the end, to move into cytoplasm, then to vacuole by ososis, as the water enters the vacuole, it increase in and push the cell contents against cell wall so gor pressure is developed.
