PMA Pakistan Marine Academy Admission Merit Lists 2021 Online

Pakistan Marine Academy (PMA) is the only institution in the public sector in Pakistan for training of seafarers. It is also the regional branch of World Maritime University Malmo, Sweden. PMA has meritorious standing among the galaxy of the worlds elite institutions for training of Merchant Navy Officers.Applications are invited for the above and the admission is conditional to eligibility, merit, medical fitness and other criteria established by the Government of Pakistan.Eligibility Criteria was At least 55% in H.S.C(Pre-Engineering)./equivalent examination with Physics, Maths & Chemistry.Students from foreign boards shall have to submit Equivalence certificate from Inter Board Committee of Chairmen(IBCC).

While with respect to Age for a candidate is kept as not more than 20 years (Year of application). One year relaxation for candidates from FANA/FATA, Baluchistan & Azad Kashmir only. The date of birth is recognized as per Matric(S.S.C.) or equivalent examination certificate. Affidavit will not be accepted. Any candidate found to be over even by one day shall be rejected and no appeal against it shall be entertained.Entrance Test Conducted  by PTS as per the policy of that candidate shall have to pass the Test in English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry & IQ portions equally as well.After Successful passing the phase of written exam the next step is to medical test as well

Medical Fitness:

As per standards prescribed by the Ports & Shipping Wing. The candidates will have to undergo Medical Examination at their own expense. In addition passing of Eye Sight and Colour Vision Test conducted at MMD (Mercantile Marine Department, Karachi) after joining the Academy. Failures of this test will not be eligible for admission in PMA

Training:

• 2 Years residential training at Pakistan Marine Academy Karachi, will commence from the 1st week of January 2021.
• Degree & Certificates earned after completion of training:
• Associate degree in Ship Management/Marine Engineering Discipline By NED University of Engineering & Technology, Karachi
• Seaman Service Book (SSB) by Government of Pakistan Certificates of Pre Sea Mandatory/Short Courses by PMA.
