Pakistani Universities in World Young University Rankings 2021 List

The Times Higher Education World has announced the Universities Ranking of 2021 inducing almost 1400 universities of 92 countries. This institute raked worldwide universities including Pakistan. Pakistani university is growing up in world ranking. It is the achievement of Pakistani universities. Times Higher Education ranked the universities according to the calibrated performance indicators that measured an institutions’ performance across teaching staff performance, research performance, knowledge transfer, and international outlook. The universities ranking to be independently and trusted worldwide by students, teachers, governments, and industry experts.

8 Pakistani universities have raked in Times Higher Education worldwide. These universities made into the recently published QS World University Rankings for 2021, with the National University of Sciences And Technology NUST Islamabad being the top-ranked Pakistani institute out of 1000 Plus universities and world raked 355 in QS ranking. Pakistan Institute of Engineering and Applied Sciences PIEAS ranked 373 and Quaid-i-Azam University ranked 454. Government University Lahore ranked over 401. And COMSAT University is also ranked in 401 to 450.

The above universities have ranked below 500. Sargodha University is rank 501. This university does not appear in the top 500 QS World University Rankings. Lahore University of Management Science has ranked the 601. Quacquarelli Symonds QS, World Young University Ranking 2021 is announced on 2nd July 2021. The World Young Universities include universities having 50 years or less in age.  National University of Sciences and Technology NUST, Islamabad is ranked 41 out of 150 world Universities and 2nd among Pakistani Universities.  Only Four 04 Pakistani Universities NUST, PIEAS, LUMS, and COMSATS were ranked in QS World Young Universities Ranking 2021.

At the start of 2021, the Times Higher Education’s decelerated the 2021 ranking of top world universities. The Oxford University in the United Kingdom which has held the First position since 2017 and not lose the ranking. The standing of the California Institute of Technology has improved, making it up to second place in the top 500 rankings while the University of Cambridge dropped a place to third. Stanford University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology are also among the top five ranked universities.

When seen at the global pace, British and American universities dominated the upper echelons of this year’s rankings. The US grabbed 60 of the top 200 positions. So far for Asia, it is still a China and Japan show as both represent 45 percent of all Asian entries into the rankings.
