Girls Join Pak Navy through Short Service Commission:

Women can join Pakistan navy through short service commission in the following fields: Short Service Commission is basically for five years which may be extended and converted into permanent commission:

  • Education Branch
  • Special Branch (Computer Programmer/IT Specialists)
  • Medical Branch (GDMOs)
  • Law Branch

Nine months training will be given at various training establishments of Pakistan Navy.

Education Brach:

Eligibility: Citizens of Pakistan
Age: Up to 28years on 01 January 2021
Height: Female 5ft (minimum)

At least 2nd Division M.Sc/Equivalent(16years of Education) in one of the following disciplines from HEC recognized institutes university. The qualifications include MA/Msc Physics, Chemistry, Psychology, Islamic Studies, English and Urdu.

Selection process is commenced with the publication of the advertisement in the news papers. The steps of the same are  as under:

  1. Online registration
  2. Entrance test
  3. Preliminary Medical examination and Interview of the candidates who qualify the entrance test
  4. ISSB Tests
  5. Medical Examination at PN Hospitals/CMHs
  6. Final Selection on merit at NHQ.

Special Branch (IT):

Female Pakistani citizens having age between 20 to 30 years can join Pak Navy as Computer Programmers. She should gain master degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Technology.

Female citizen of Pakistan having Qualification: Masters/Bachelor degree (16 Years of education) with at least 50% marks from HEC recognized university in the following:



Female citizens of Pakistan can apply for pharmacists in Pak Navy.

Age: 22 – 35 Years on 01 Jan 13

  • – D Pharmacy. At least 2nd Div from HEC recognized institution/university.
  • – The candidates must be registered with Provincial Pharmacy Council
  • – Preferably One year experience with some Pharmaceutical company/hospital

Occupational Therapist/Physiotherapist:

Female citizens of Pakistan can apply for Occupational therapists/physiotherapists in Pak Navy.

Age:                  22 – 35 Years on 01 Jan 13

  • – BS/BSc in Occupational therapy/Physiotherapy. At least 2nd Div from HEC recognized Institutes/university.
  • – Preferably One year experience in some Rehabilitation Center/Hospital

Medical Branch (GDMOs):

For Males &Females
Citizens of Pakistan
Age : Upto 28years
Height: Male 5ft-4in (minimum)
Female 5ft (minimum)


  • – MBBS Minimum 2nd Divsion or equivalent qualification recognized by PM & DC
  • – The Candidates must have registration of PM & DC
  • – One year house job in PM & DC recognized hospitals.

Naval Law Branch:

Female candidates can make career in Law Branch of Pakistan Navy.

Law Requirements are candidates should posses Law Degree which should be held in addition to a degree in Arts or Sciences from HEC recognized institution/university.

Practicing member of a bar

Relaxation can be granted to deserving cases having additional qualifications/experience

Girls Join Pakistan Navy through Pak Navy Volunteer Reserve (PNVR):

Females can join Pakistan navy through Pakistan Navy Volunteer Reserve (PNVR).

Special Branch (PRO):

Eligibility: Male / Female Citizens of Pakistan
Age: 20-35 years
Height: Male 5′ 4″ (Minimum)
Female 5′ (Minimum)
Educational Qualification: Masters in Mass Communication and Media Sciences:  50%      Marks (Minimum)

Special Branch (IT):

Female citizens of Pakistan having age 20-35 years and height 5” minimum can apply. The required qualification are Master / Bachelors degree (4 years Programme) in one of the following disciplines from HEC recognized university with at least 50% Marks.

They can apply in fields of Computer Sciences, Software Engineering, Information Technology and Information Security.

Girls Join Pakistan Navy through Direct Entry Sailors:

Female Medical Technician:

Female medical technicians can join Pakistan navy through Direct Entry Sailors.

Eligibility Criteria:

Unmarried Female
Age: 16 – 20 years
Height: Female: 5 (152.4 cm)
Educational Qualification: Matric Science Group with minimum 65% marks (with Biology only).

Selection Process:

Candidates can apply through online registration by either visiting Pakistan Navy websites or by reporting at the nearest Pakistan Navy Recruitment and Selection Centre after the publication of the advertisement in the newspaper.

Documents Required:

Original & Attested Photocopy of Matric certificates.

  • – 4x Passport size photographs.
  • – Attested photocopy of CNIC/Form B (NADRA).
  • – Crossed Postal Order Rs.50/- in favour of Director of Recruitment NHQ, Islamabad or Cash in lieu of Postal orders.
  • – Attested photocopy of domicile certificate.


Selection Procedure:

Entrance Tests
Intelligence test: 35 minutes.
Academic Tests of (English, Maths, Physics & General Knowledge) 80 minutes.

Detailed medical examination along with screening of Hepatics Tests, HIV Test of all qualified candidates is carried out at concerned Pakistan Navy Recruitment & Selection Centres (PNR&SCs).


Interview of medically fit candidates is carried out at respective PNR&SCs.

Final selection will be by Naval Headquarters.

Ineligibility Conditions:

A candidate is ineligible to join the service if he/she has been dismissed or discharged from the service on discipline/ unsuitability /physical disability or if convicted by a civil court or otherwise.
