NUMS National University of Medical Sciences

The Act of Parliament of 31 October 2015 established the National University of Medical Sciences as a Federal Public Sector University. The Honorable President of Pakistan is the Chancellor of this University. An Act of Parliament established the Federal Public Sector University on 31 October 2015. The Pakistan Army Medical Corps managed it. The Army Medical College, which is a military-run hospital, was previously affiliated with the National University of Sciences and Technology, Pakistan. However, it is now a constituent college of that university.

General Instructions for Applicants

• The equivalence certificate issued to IBCC applicants must be uploaded when they submit their online application, otherwise, the application will be rejected.
• All applications submitted are final.
• Incomplete applications will be refused.
• Only online applications will be accepted.
• Hard copies of applications are not acceptable.
• After the deadline for submission, no application will be accepted.

2. Candidates are advised to choose the right medical and dental college for them. Applicants will only be granted admission to MBBS/BDS in the respective Dental/Medical colleges based on merit.

Eligibility  Criteria for NUMS Private Medical Colleges Admission

PMC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education Regulations 2023-23 state that no distinction is made between Pakistani, oversea Pakistani, or foreign students for admission to private colleges. This means that foreign candidates must be equally qualified as local applicants.

• All Pakistanis with valid citizenship (including citizens of AJK or Gilgit Baltistan), can apply for admission to any of the colleges mentioned above on open merit.
• Minimum 60% aggregate marks in FSc Pre-Medical or equivalent with a minimum twelve-year education.
• Passing the MDCAT NUMS with a minimum of 55% mark for admission to the MBBS program or 45% for BDS.
