The college of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan was set up in 1962 via an act of parliament. It is established under the leadership of Wajid Ali Khan Burqi then federal Minister of Health. The beautiful library of the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan was built in 1965. Since it was established, it served as a focal point in supporting postgraduate medical education. This college has received the latest medical literature since its inception. The College of Physicians and Surgeons of Pakistan (CPSP) is granted by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide credits for educational activities.

The main vision of this college is to transform healthcare delivery into an logical and effective system. From which the masses of the country could get fair and cheap access. The mission of this college is to train and educate the professionals of health care for the management and creativity. They also want to train for leadership roles to manage and arrange health delivery facilities. They also provide a successful and logical health delivery system. Their goal in healthcare management systems is to impart skills and knowledge to healthcare professionals.

MCPS in healthcare systems Management Program overview

Health care systems management (HCSM) has been designed for the interested candidates, who want to make their future bright in healthcare management. we design this system for those working in public and private healthcare organizations. These organizations include hospitals, teaching institutes, community-based organizations, and non-government organizations. It polishes the students in becoming successful managers and leaders for healthcare delivery management. It also prepares them for becoming social changing agents.

Salients Features

The candidates must have the following characteristics for this program:

• This course duration is 2.5 years.
• The candidate must carry out contact sessions of 5, each of 3-4 weeks duration. And also supervised distance learning approach; to increase their skills and on-the-job application.
• Highly trained and competent faculty
• Combination of face-to-face contact sessions
• Participates in overcoming the shortage of health managers in the country
• Application to the government sector, international agencies, private sector, and other healthcare organizations.
• Accepted by PMDC
• There are 5 semesters within a duration of 6 months.

Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for the candidates for the MCPS-HCSM program:

• Candidates must be graduated in medical and dental
• Two years post-graduated experienced candidates in any health care organization will be preferable
• The candidates must match the reasons given with the purpose of the MCPS-HCSM Application program
• The candidates must have experience of management
• Workshop/courses
• Must have computer skills

The last date for submission of admission forms is 15 June 2022.
