  1. Which oxide is more acidic cl2O or CLO2?

  2. Which of the following is amphoteric oxide ?
Answer: Although aluminum oxide is metal but Al2O3 is amphoteric oxide. Because Na2O & MgO is basic becuase metallic oxides show basic nature And SO2 is non-metal and non-metallic oxides show acidic nature so it is acidic.
Note: the trend in period 3 is grom strongly basic oxide on the left-hand side to strongly acidic ones on the right hand side, via an amphoteric oxide (aluminium oxide) in the middle .
•An amphoteric oxide is one which show both acidic and basic properties or character.
how lead monoxide is amphoteric ?
    Answer:
Pb is non-metal and its oxide will be called non-metallic oxide. And non-metallic oxide are always acidic in nature but since it is in Group 4 so in this group every element has its own properties. There is irregularity in all of their trends. the monoxides of G-IVA are amphoteric including germanium, Tin & Lead.
    Thank me later 😉
